Vacation Time

This does not happen to often but we are going to Cancun. This trip has been planned for a couple of years and it will be nice to get away. So, for awhile I will be out of commission till I get back. Please keep us in prayer there is a lot of nasty stuff going on with the drug lords.

I made up a couple of books and ya know what! I didn't take not one picture, so as you can imagine I do feel very bad for not sharing them with ya!!! However the girls that got the books loved them a lot ♥ Gosh, I just whipped them up and then gave them away. :-(

My pick for the School theme is a set called School Days (later in my post I will have more info on how to purchase this set). However, for now I will show you my cards. I used the Alphabet part and colored the backing to make a background paper, then I colored the school house part in & the apple tag with my
Copics ( R29,35, G02,05, E33,43, C5)

This card is also from School Days and again I used the alphabets for the background on a black card. Pencil and apples (I love apples) again used my copics to color (R27,29,35, G02,05, Y00,08,35, E33,43,57, R20, RV23,34)

Boy, oh boy it has been awhile since I have posted, however I have been pretty busy. It has been gloomy here so I really haven't been able to get some pic's for ya. Until now so lets show some cards K

I used photo paper and I really loved how it turned out I didn't increase the ink volume but I like the soft look. The paper was so easy to work with as far as using the CB I'm just so very pleased with the results over all.

Here are some how have you been cards, it seems that we always can use these.

Good Day to everyone,

I tried my hand at a little recipe card book and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I did cut out a bunch of cricut embellishments and I was going to put them in the book but I thought I would let the person that I'm giving this to put them where she wants to.

I used Clipart from PCCrafters from Joy Hall called More Love. I love that collection with the hearts and pastel colors. I know when you look at the collection you sure don't think of a cook book theme, but I love to cook and this is all about Love.

I would love to hear what you think about it!!

I came across this from PCCrafters and I thought it was good to share with you all.

If you have kids this would be really fun for them I think, just think you could print on magnetic sheets or Velcro so they could have fun mixing them up a bit.

FREEBIE- Build Your Own Cupcake!

Hello!! Ok... so I have a new freebie to share with everyone, and I hope you and your kiddos/nieces/nephews/grandkids.. etc etc. have tons of fun with this little project. The cutting does take a little bit of time, but if your little ones are anything like mine, they're excitement will be well worth it.

If you own a set of kids scissors, and your child has a little experience with cutting they should be able to cut most of the elements out, but I definitely encourage adult supervision... The cake toppers are a little more intricate and require a little more cutting skill. :)

I really had fun putting this together, and was inspired by a couple of sticker books my mom bought the girls for church. Which reminds me, if you have sticker paper, you could always print these out on that. Otherwise a glue stick works just fine. :)

There are 10 pages total consisting of: cover page, the recipe, 8 different cupcakes, 8 different liners, 8 different frostings, 11 different cupcake toppers, and a sheet of name tags for your little baker(s). :)

One of the best thing about these cupcakes is they are very light in calories. Light a sweet smelling candle, and invite the neighbor kids over! :) They would also work well for a picnic outside... no need to worry about ants. Oh- and didnt you know that tea parties are MUCH better with cupcakes? Yep, thats what I think. Journey got a new tea set for her birthday from her grandma and aunties... I'm thinking this will be a nice rainy day project... and I am envisioning a cute little photo opportunity. If you've taken pictures of the cupcakes in action I would love to see them! Maybe you guys can post links here in the comments section? :) Thanks a bunch!! Happy baking :)

Do you like the Grunge look?

Cause if you do then this card you might like!

I'm sending this one to a lady and her Mom passed and she loves Tim Holtz so I thought I would try my best for the grunge look. These flowers are made out of a book. I just cut the pages out of the book and used my CB (cuddlebug) round scallop to cut the shape for the flower. I got the idea from Donna Salazar she has several videos that you can watch to get some ideas.

I also used different colors of spritz that I made up myself I got the idea from one of good blogger friends Nora @ Handmade & Heavenly by Nora she has the recipe on how to make them up. Wow, what a savings that is to!

I also used my Hubie's shaver to grunge up the edges, the papers are from Old World Stack by DCWV (I love that stack), lace, ribbon and rhinestones for embellishments.
So there you have it, what do ya think?

The other day I posted a girls card well she has a brother as well, and I just finished his up. Boys cards are the most challenging because there is not
much out there as far as embellishments go.
I did happen to find these for this card, I also would like to mention that in the girls card and his I layered the graphics to give it some depth. (We all know that I can't take pictures very well, so I know when to stop when I get a good Pic) hehehe I sure hope that he likes it and cheeres him up some. Anyways, I was wondering what you all thought of it?

Gosh, it has been a while since I have posted! I just wanted to pop in and say Hi I have been really busy my Mother-in-law she is very ill and not expected to live much longer. She has had cancer for some time now and it is just getting the best of her, I do have to say that she has had a good run of the cancer being in remission for 8 years and it now back. Please Pray for her and the family for she is the last of the parents. Thank you so much for your prayers and I will be back as soon as we all get past this.

Happy Sunday to everyone, I sure hope that your day has been enjoyable so far?
I made up this covered book for one of my friends so she can keep her bible notes together. It's pretty simple because it will be tucked into her bible so I didn't want to put flowers and such just to have them pop off.
So what do you think about this one?

The papers are from DCWV Linen Closet Stack pack and then I used my Xyron to adhere the paper to the cardboard. I used a spiraled 1 subject 70 sheet wide ruled book that fits in a notebook and you can tear out the pages. I got a lot of them last year for 15 cents a book so I have a few of them and didn't know what
to do with them, so I got this idea to cut them in half and make
up some of these books. OK, I thought
it was a pretty good idea anyways!

An altered book!

I hope that your Monday has been going wonderful for ya! I finally got my book done and I love it♥
I just love the vintage look of tea dye and ruffed up edges, of course we can't forget the ribbon that is old looking. I love to use the distress inks but this time I spritz it with some water to blend the colors of the distress inks after I was done. One I have never used more than one color of distress ink, this time I used most of the colors that I have. Then I spritz the water and that looked cool but then I added the spritz of Walnut Ink diluted with water, this is the part that I would like to use that undo button because to me it was just a bit to much. I also tried the Perfect Pearls with my stamped image now I have never used them before so I was impressed with the results. The little shimmer shine is just the perfect effect I wanted.

Anyways, here is my book and this one will go in my Bible for note...

Good Morning

I just wanted to pop in and say Hi to U'll, you will never believe it but I have been working on a book that I'm covering.
OK, it is taking me a lot longer to put it together than normally, I really
wanted to do the distress look here is the machine that I really, really want.
Oh yes that baby will be mine real soon! LOL LOL

Anyway, I thought I would try to see if my Hubie had something in that garage that I could use. I looked every where for his grinder (think God that I didn't find it) I might of put myself in the hospital trying to use that thing? So I looked for his razor and I used his side-beard cutter to work the edges. It worked kinda but not quite what I wanted! Now I have not told my Hubie that I used his razor for my book covers and I'm not to sure I should.
I'm not going to be able to work on my book to much this weekend because we are going camping. However I will get a pick of what I have so far later today for you to see what I have come up with so far.

I have to go to work at the school for the next two days so no craft time there :( So as you can tell it just takes me a long time to get things done these days♥

Well I'm black from Mexico and I must say my husband and I had a wonderful time! It was hot but we made it through just fine, my Hubie and I took some pictures of the Mothers and their kids so they would have a portrait to remember their time at the Missionary Home. I pray every day that God will continue to bless this Church and there fine work they do with these woman and their kids. The women are there because their husbands are in prison for some reason, and they don’t get any support from the prison to help take care of their families while they are in prison. Calvary Chapel Mexicali has stepped in to help these women out.

These women are being so blessed and learning so much, they are being taught how to read and speak English and learning math; pretty much everything they will need to get out on their own one day. Their children are being home schooled and you can see in their eyes they are very happy.

Our mission this trip was to teach the woman some crafts and they had the day off from their children. These women were so happy to make something for themselves; they made a canvas bag and a fleece blanket. The men of the group had to babysit the children and I must say they did a really great job of it; they had water balloon fights and did some crafts for the kids as well. This is when my Hubie and I did the portraits and framed them. All and all were very blessed with time and not having to much trouble with the crafts and the pictures all and all it fit together like a puzzle. Thank you my Lord!

Monday we went to our Sons house that he just moved into and had a barbecue and that was the icing on the cake for our Memorial Weekend. I think that this has been the best Memorial weekend we have had in a very long time. I sure hope that your weekend was filled with happiness and joy! I hope later on today I can get out and about to visit some of my blogger friends, so keep a look out♥

Some Mother's Day Cards

I put together some Cards to give to my neighbor and a good friend. The first one went to my neighbor and I used the Criss Cross Card along with TAC paper called

Juliette V-839, this 12 x 12 cardstock SWIC includes one sheet of each design and one sheet of coordinating die-cut cardstock tags and embellishments all for only $6.95.
I added some pearls and lace along with some prima flowers

This one went to my friends Mom and she was very pleased with how it turned out....

No TAC paper it came from a collection from K&Company called lovely from Valentines Day along with some embellishments and flowers, lace and you have a card.

My girlfriend and I made up some cards for a Challenge in a magazine and we entered them last Friday so wish us luck! Here are my two cards that I sent in and I hope later to get her picks she did up a button challenge, and her cards are cute, I'm talking cute.

Good Morning to everyone!

I have been busy with working, no not a 40 hr week just part time at the schools! My job noon duty 2 or 3 hrs when ever they need me it can be any school in the district. Let me tell you it is a very challenging job. So it really cuts into my crafting time :( Anyhow I just wanted to say HI and let you all know I have not forgot you all♥

Stamp from TAC that has been discontinued called our Savior. I hope one day they will bring this set back because it is a good one.

This stamp is from the same set and I used Mulberry paper to give it a really different look.

Layering

Layering is the theme at Cute Card Thursday and I'm going to enter this card. I wish that I could get a good picture but you know me not to good with the camera at all. OK, my Hubie got the best picture yet! Yay,,,,, The stamp set is from TAC and I think that it will make up some really cute Mother Day Cards, I also used some paper from TAC from the More Mimi PK. I had some Mulberry paper and I think that it added a really different touch to the card. I don't really use it that much and I should! You know I have tried to get a really deep dark brown stamp pad and I have not found one yet. So if any of you know of one could ya let me know the brand and name......I wanted to ruff up the printed paper to give it the vintage look so it would blend in with the Mulberry paper had to put some pearls on and I'm a liking the card. Let me know what you all think about it♥

Oh, yeah this will be my first card that I have entered in a contest so we will see what happens :)

Little Joel's B-card

Little Joel is one and I thought that this card would be just a little bit appropriate them a Saint Patrick's Day Card for that was when he was born. We are all getting together tomorrow to wish him Happy Birthday♥

I wanted to do a little bit of layering and I thought that the presents would work just fine. I have to think one of my good friends Sharron over at Sharron's Sweet Blessings don't forget to stop by and say HI!
She is the one that got me into cutting out things and I have to thank you Sharron I love doing it now. Thanks Sis your the best! So I thought I would take a side shot with the camera for ya to look at.....LOL I even added a little of stickles I really love those little bottles, you don't have any glitter mess at all. I can even use them in the summer when the fans are going! LOL LOL I used PCCrafters clip-art again and the background paper is from them as well. I used several different artist to create this card one is Cara Bradshaw~Sweet Treats, Marie Cole~Mom and Me and Rebecca Carter~Teddy Bears. I'm so in love with those Spellbinders Nestabilities so of course I had to use them. Will that should pretty much sum up this card, I sure hope that ya like it and most of all I hope that Joel will like it? What am I thinking he's only ONE and he doesn't care now does he?

I got some crafting time in the other day YAY! It is about time right
Somethings have changed in my schedule so I HAVE MORE TIME on my hands and we all know what that means right! Yup more crafting.....
So I'm doing the happy dance

I love this card because it is really simple and I love that. You really can't tell but the girl is popped out with of course pop out dots. I'm getting back into sending out cards for people that need a bit of cheering up when they are sick or in the hospital or just to wish them a Happy B-day. I'm in to the Cricut Fairy Card Club you can find them here anyone can join and it is rewarding♥

From time to time I like to use Clipart from PC Crafters this collection is called Pansy Garden by Jane Shasky and I think she did a wonderful job on the art. I did raised the Pansy up sever times (didn't take a pic sorry :() however
I did have a lot of fun working this one up.

~~A Suprise Birthday Gift~~

Yesterday I had to go to the Dentist (Yup, I was jumping up and down with excitement to go)but I cracked a tooth in the back around last Aug or Sept. and I though it would be best to get it fixed before I started to have some problems. Funny because I didn't have any problems with it until I went to the Dentist and he went a pocking around and told me that I would need a crown. I'm so happy to see the one person that I just love to see the most out of all the Doctors that I know! How many people do you know that love the Dentist? I don't know any..... Anyway, while I was getting my paper work all ready I pointed out to the Guy that made my appointment that he had dated it 2/22/80 made me chuckle for a bit. So I showed it to him and he said that was his birth date! So he went and was showing some of the girls what he had done by putting his B-day on my appointment card and everyone was laughing at what he had done. So I had my dental work done and then I came home to work up this little box and filled it with chocolates♥ It is nothing to fancy but I think that it was the thought that counts....

Paper was from my paper stash, Stamp from TAC Fun Frogs, I used Copics to color.

Whipped up a card today!

This is the set that I used from The Angel Company called sweet skunks #T-2674 $12.95

I got this new stamp set a little while back from TAC and I just had to do up a card with one of them. It came with 4 little skink stamps and here is one of them. I ran out of time to do the others but I can’t wait to work the rest of them up. I also couldn’t resist the Martha Stewart ladybug punch how cute is he? I wanted to let you know that the white frame is raised and so is the skunk, I know that you can't really see it on this picture but it does have a few layers. It just seems that ladybugs and sunflowers go together like peanut butter and jelly……LOL LOL Anyway, I hope that you like my card and thank you for all of your comments and your visit.

I got them Valentine Pictures

Boy, what a chore, gosh I have know idea what happen to my camera but these are the best pictures that I can get. I know that I'm going to be needing a new camera this one only works really good when the lighting is just right. Maybe my shutter is getting a little tired?

The first one has a bit of a glare but that is the best I can get with the foil paper that I used. I would like to mention that I used some of my PC Crafters graphic's (just click on the link to go their).
The Pig and the Frog are from the collection Celebrate All Year by Shelly Comisky, and the Owls from the collection My Funny Valentine 2 by Laurie Furnell. I have a pretty huge collection of graphics from PC Crafters and I still love using them.

So there you have it and I have a few more to make up (hope to get them done in time) and when I do I will post for ya. I sure hope that you enjoy them?

you have to try this cake♥

It is called Dump Cake and let me tell you it is the easiest cake to make, if I had some kids around I would of had them make it. That is just how easy it is! I'm going to take this cake to Church tomorrow and they get to enjoy it, for there is only the two of us and we could never eat that much cake. Here is how to put this one together;

Dump Cake

In a ungreased glass pan (9x13) add all of these ingredients in this order!

1 Can 16oz crushed pineapple

1 Can 16oz Pie cherries

1 pk Yellow Cake mix (dry, best if you use your hands to sprinkle on the pineapple and cherries.)

2 cubes of melted butter {which is 1 cup of butter} (sprinkle all over the cake mix)

1 cup of chopped nuts

1 cup of flaked coconut

Bake for 50 to 55 min. At the end keep a close eye on it because it browns really fast.

Oh, and I have to say it is very yummy too.....

One other note I have been making Valentine cards, but I spend all day trying to get good pictures and with no luck at all. So I will have my Hubie get some pictures so I can show off some of my crafting that I have been doing. I have been on a baking run these few days, maybe because it has been cold and what better way to warm up the house!

Cream of Mushroom Lasagna?

Hi everyone

I just wanted to share a recipe with ya, it is very quick and easy. I have not tried it just yet but I'm going to really soon, I just made up some regular lasagna and then I found this recipe so I can not wait to try it! The weather has been wet and cold and I'm looking for warm foods to eat. Say if you have some warm recipes to share that are easy I'm open to try some up.... If by any chance that you make it up can you let me know what you think?

Beef and Mushroom Lasagna

1 can (10 3/4 oz) Cream of Mushroom Soup
¼ C milk
1 lb. ground beef
2 C Mushroom Italian Sauce
9 cooked lasagna noodles
1 c shredded Italian-blend or mozzarella cheese

1. Heat oven to 400. Stir soup and milk in small bowl until smooth.
2. Cook beef in skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off fat. Stir in sauce.
3. Layer ½ beef mixture, 3 noodles and 1 cup soup mixture in 2-qt shallow baking dish. Top with 3 more noodles, remaining beef mixture, remaining noodles and remaining soup mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover baking dish.
4. Bake 30 min. or until hot. Uncover baking dish.
5. Heat broiler. Broil 4” from heat 2 min. or until cheese is golden brown. Let stand 10 min.

Prep 25 min Bake 30 min. Broil 2 min.
Stand 10 min Makes 6 servings

Are you ready for Valentine Cards? I am!

I'm so sorry that it has taken me so long to come up with the lace that I have tried to dye. I wanted to show you this card with the red lace that I dyed, I did have some problems with it. It seemed to take several attempts to achieve the color that I wanted and then I came across some bad weather which didn't help on the drying time. I will try when the weather gets better just so it will not take so long to dry but in the meantime this is a simple of what is to come....

On this card the lace was very white and I had to use pure dye on it to get the red that I wanted and even then I could of had it a little deeper red but this dye was not going to achieve it at all. How, ever it is close enough for this card, what do you all think?

This one was just pure fun and did I ever enjoy putting it all together!

I know that the pictures are not up to power but I think that you can get the idea. I will have to get the list of supplies for ya later. Off hand I think of them all! LOL

It is Tuesday the 15th

OK, I couldn't take it so I opened up a couple of the cards for ya to see.......yeah :)

And we only have 10 days till Christmas. AWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! and AWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! I just got my Christmas Cards done and do you know what I did, I signed them and addressed the envelope and sealed them and they all all ready to go to the PO and guess what, I didn't take one picture of any of them. I know I'm so sorry♥ I can say that I did stamp up a lot of TAC stamp images and I had my DGS over for the weekend and he really wanted to color them in. So he picked out the image that he really liked and he colored his little heart out. After he went home I thought that they would make up some really cute cards so I made up some simple cards for everyone to see his wonderful coloring. Now, let me try to set the picture on how he went about coloring them. I gave him a set of 36 pencils that are numbered and when he colored the images he uses the number system and not really the color wheel system. So, to much of my surprise the colors that he chose were not Christmas colors at all. The image that he chose was a Christmas sock from TAC called (Christmas Doodles T-3189) and it was filled with array of interesting colors. But I did love the idea of it all so then I had to build around the different colored socks that he colored, and let me tell you that is where the challenge began. For the colors that he grouped together were not colors that you would find in printed paper at all or even Christmas paper. I must say that they did come together and I love everyone of the cards that I will sent out that he colored for me. I only had 12 socks so some of you might not get some of his art work, and some will get 6 cards that I made up using a different stamp from TAC, and some will get New Years Cards. No matter what card you get rest a sure that it was made with tender loving care!♥

Happy Thanksgiving

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and may you be blessed if you have to travel. We are going to my Brothers for Supper and I'm going to take some pies that I made up and some Pumpkin Bread and Candy Coated Pecans. I would like to add that I got this idea from Dee over at Stamping Cuz I Luv 2 so check out her version as well. I just happen to have these little bags and thought they would look pretty good with a topper.

I would like to mention that I could only make up a couple of bags because I eat most of the pecans and this is what I had left. LOL LOL

The Pumpkin Bread I make up ever year along with the pies, because I just love getting a fresh pumpkin and then I cook up the meat and can it up for breads and pies for later. It is a good thing because I heard on the News that Libby's Can Pumpkin is really hard to come by these days.

Christmas Cards for a swap♥

I entered a Christmas Card Swap and this is what I came up with I had to make 6 and I did 3 red, 3 blue and 3 green. I'm so sorry that the pictures are so bad taking a mental do not take pictures with the cards in the card sleeves. LOL LOL I really love the way that Vicki one of my blogger friends did up one of her cards with the ribbon on the side, so I just had to give it a try.

All I can say is it will be really nice when Hubie goes back to work! It is really hard to get my crafting time in with him around.

Whew, I have been missing in action!

The DGS is out of baseball and that was a huge chuck of time out of my crafting time! Now that I have a little of time to start crafting again I wanted to make up a card. Of course this is going to a little boy that is not expected to live till Christmas. I found that I love making cards to the ones that need it the most. Anyhow, this is what I came up with!

I forgot to mention that I found out just how I can not see when it came to coloring the stamp image with my copics. It will have to be time for new glasses for me as soon as I can. Also, with the limitations on just a few copics shading is not going to happen! when I grow up I want more copics and learn how to color!!!

Working on the Baseball Albums!

Here are the little albums that have been consuming all of my time. Now I must say that I have really never used my circut, ok just some little things here and there nothing really big like this.
So this really was a test on how to use SCAL & yup THAT Inkscape! I had to do a lot of praying over this one asking for patience on a program. LOL So I'm pretty proud of myself on putting it all together and using my circut to do most of all of the work. And am I ever so glad that I had it because it would of been a lot of cutting by hand. Inkscape wasn't as bad as I though! So I'm ready to move on learning more in Inkscape♥

I'm only showing a couple of pages because I don't think that the parents would like me showing off there kids in such a broad community like blogland! So for there privacy I wanted to block out there numbers and there faces. So, no your not seeing dots all over the picture, I put them there.

I do have a huge question should I put ribbons on the spine of the books? I was thinking that most of the Baseball players are boys not to sure how they would feel about ribbons on there book!

So what do you all think?
I have to have them done by Saturday so I could use your help.

How is everyone? I'm just now getting around to posting my card, whew what a couple of busy days! I did manage to get this card done, woooohoooo, I made this one for our DGD and DGS. One is 3 1/2 and the other is all most a year so I wanted the card to look like fall and not so spooky. I hope that they are going to like it when they receive it.

So now onward for the other DGS he is 7 so I can do a little more like Halloweenish. I hope that this card won't take so long like the last one.....

BASEBALL Oh, yes the DGS is in baseball, his parents and I have been busy trying to keep up with the little guy. Me being a parent of two boys I know just what it takes to keep up with our little guys or gals. I have been having so much fun taking pictures of the kids and they make me just laugh as they scramble for a ball that could make a game or cost them a game. Some of them take the game at heart and other would like to try and throw dirt, in any case at the end they had fun. So now that I have some pic's will I just have to make up some little albums for them. I have two weeks left to make them up and get them to the parents. So I better get on the ball and start working on them.

I have not forgot about you all I just have been really busy joining some groups and doing the baseball thing with the DGS. I was talking with Nilda at Cuttlebug Challenge Spot today and I forgot what it takes to do the sports thing. She gave me some pointers on how to gear up for the games and the practice, and I can use all of the help I can get. (going to get that shopping cart basket for sure)

The other thing that has been keeping me really busy is making cards for causes, I belong to two groups and they have a list of names of friends and family members that need some cheering up, birthdays, Thanking of you or for our heroes that are out their. If anyone knows me they know that it does take some time for me to come up with a card. Although, I'm a learning that simple is sweet now that I have to make some many at a time. So, I'm a glad that I have joined in just to be able to learn a different way to come up with cards.

A tutorial for ya!

On those Post it Note Holders, I though that you just might like to have it for when ever you get a chance to make one up...♥

How to make a Post-it-Note Holder

These are the supplies that you will need;

Glue I like to use Tacky Glue by Scotch
Ink pad I used black
Stamp
Scrap paper 4 ½” X 4 ½”
Two pieces of Chip board 3 ½” X 3 ½” or thick Cardboard that is what I used from an old box that I got from a new keyboard.
A piece of paper for the spine cover 3 ¼” X 2 ¼” I will add a template at the end of this tutorial
Post it note pad mine is green I swapped out the blue one.
X-cato knife is what I use to cut with
Markers or colored pencils to color in the stamp of your choice
Embellishments of your choice

I happen to use up a lot of my scraps on these post it note holders, they are so small that this is a great time to use up those scrapes that you have laying around.

Now that your pieces have been cut it is time to cover the chip board and cut a piece of paper for your spine cover. I know that there are many ways to cover your paper and any of those ways will work….LOL

As you can see my chipboard is covered and I scored the

Spine cover (on the template I will have to

Points to score for U)

Oh, one you score the spice cover I like to fold where

I just scored, now use glue and

Attach the back cover and then the front.

I then glue the post it note pad cover it up and let it dry.

Then you can embellish your Post it notes and you’re done.

Pretty easy yes!

Now lets see what you can do now!!!♥

OK, I now know that I can not make templates. Sorry this is the best that I can do

You only need it for the tick marks anyway.

I just had to offer up some thing to donate and who can not use a post-it-note Holder? I have 6 more to make and then I will make up some Bookmakers and some sets of note cards.

over at One by one the flamingo's are stealing my sanity Karel is having a Challenge and I though I would join in on the fun. We had to use Embellishment and I though I would load them up, and as you can see it is full. I really had so much fun making this card up and it is just so cheery looking and I could use that right now!
The paper is from my scrap stash, and as you can tell plenty of embellishment brads, buttons, rhinstones, prima flowers, glitter, punched leaves from MS, lace, ric-rack and the clip-art is from PC crafters-the name of the artist slips my mind. (if you know can you post for me?)

Boy, was it HOT!

when we went camping this weekend. We all arrived at the campground on Saturday around 3:00pm, and for us that is late. I received a call from the DGS on Friday and he really, really wanted to go camping with us for the holiday. (how can you say no to that?) When Hubie woke up On Saturday morning we finished up packing and then we were on our way to pick up DGS and go to the campground. By the time we arrived it was 3:00 and that 5th wheel was blasting hot, this weekend it got up to about 108 and the inside of the trailer had to be about 120 or so. If it wasn't it sure did feel like it, of course we turned on the Air but it didn't help until night fell and then it started to cool down....Whew, was I ever so glad! The next day we ran the Air all day and stayed inside until night and took a ride up to the pool wore out the DGS and the day was done...We then packed everything up and came home.

We have a fair trip this time, a little hot but fair!

Guess What I have to do the drawing tonight!!! ♥

This will be my last card for the week, I have made a card using each kid from the stamp set that I'm offering up, and I think that they turned out pretty good even if I have to say so for myself!

The good news is that I get to do the drawing to night because I found out that I will be camping this weekend....(surprise). I will not be back until Tuesday and I feel that it will be worse to wait until then to perform the drawing then to do it now. I feel it would be so much better to have it a surprise for you now then for you to thank that I disappear from the face of the earth and forget all of the wonderful girls that have been leaving comments....

I went to Ramdom.org and it came up with # 13 and that would be beadz.. I made sure that she met all of the requirements that needed to be fulfilled.

Recipe for all of the cards that I will be posting

Paper-from TAC, Embellishments from JoAnn's or Michaels, I fogot to mention that on the blue card I used brads. I couldn't get the right color so I used Adirondack Alcohol Ink (Stream) and dyed them. I think they came out really nice and the color is perfect.

DAY FOUR;

I just made a simple card, I wanted to add more but Hubie said leave it the way it is (I have to go by him because he is my best critic around). It was a reminder that guys like simple, very simple and with very little words. (that is what I have found♥ )

I just wanted to let you all know that I have had more fun reading all of your comments and sharing other info with me.

Say I just saw that I made a mistake on the posting on the set of stamps this little guy didn't get in the post so there you have it. Two guys the same and one missing! hhhhmmmmmm Now the set is complete. I bet you didn't even notice that there was two of the same right? I could say this was a test but I won't..

Day Five;

Good day to everyone, can you believe how time has just flew by? I can't, whew I just put this card together for ya! Most of the other ones I pre-made and I'm so glad that I did it really helped out so I didn't have to rush around like a chicken with his cut off! If you know what I mean...

This card started out to two quarter circles but it became lost in all of the embellishments, I wanted to use this for fall so there you have it!

Happy Day Card

Good Afternoon to you all! I sure hope that your day is going pretty good so far? Over the weekend I put together this card. It is pretty simple but I wanted to show you that I took white rick-rack and dyed it with Jim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink I used the color-stream. I was not to sure how it was going to dye but it turned out exactly the way I wanted it even down to the color. I know it might not be new to you, but it is for me so I had to share my excitement. I love ribbon, lace and rick-rack so I try to incorporate it most of the time into my cards. The problem that I am coming across is that I can never find the colors that I want for my cards. So, I had all of these Alcohol Inks, I said I wonder if any of these are in the colors that I needed for this card. I think it is a pretty good match and I didn't have to blend any of the colors to get the color that I wanted. Boy, what more can you ask for!

everyone, what a lovely day it is. We are having really good weather this summer so far, it has only been in the mid 90's and that is very good. Most of the time we are in the low hundreds to mid and that is hot. I know that it could get hotter and has in other places(I'm thinking about you Charlene knowing it is 110 to 115 in Arizona.) LOL LOL

OK, now back to the card, will I was scoring, cutting and this is what I came up with.

I love the look of Corsets, so after I made the card it had to become a Corset. It took me a couple of days to get it done but I think it looks pretty darn good just wanted to let you know that a card slides up with a saying. What do you all think?

It's Friday

And we are suppose to have a lovely day today, the temp has cooled down about 10 degres and that is great for us. The low 90's is much better then the low 100's! We also have been having some wonderful winds to blow through the house to keep it much cooler. That is great the less we have to run the air the better it is on our dollars. I have had a very busy week, whew running all over the place. I'm not sure if I even got anything done?

I sure wish that we had a Hobby Lobby or and AC Moor's I'm getting so tired to relay on M's and J's all of the time. It seems like they don't have what I'm looking for I know that I could go on line and shop but I like to look at the colors and have it like now! I get an idea in my head and I want to work on it now now when it comes to the house. Gosh, I must be in a complaining mood this morning? Now that I'm reading back my post. hmmmmmm

Anyway, I do have some crafts to share I think she is so lovely. She is from a stamp collection from TAC and it is called ticked pink #T-2698 $17.95 isn't she cute!

Really quick, I have our wonderful DGS with me tonight and he has been keeping me very busy, but last night I was playing around with some Composition books trying to make them into Journals. It all started with one that I have had for some time now and it started to fall apart. What the heck! I made this book and it just came together really, really nice so I just feel in love it, for once I made something that I keep for myself which is very rare, I never do that! The point is that why not use the bind it all machine that I just got? I have so many Composition Books and with some tweaking I came up with this. It is far from being perfect but I think that you can get the idea. I feel this book is up to the wear and tear of constant use. I want to provide a book that will up hold a Journal use and for special purposes uses as well for secret info like me. For what ever use you use it for you would like it to hold up. Let me tell you this one will! Take a look at it and let me know what you think?

Their is one thing that I have found out, copy and past your whole blog in word so this will never happen to you. So if you should loss your blog trying to change things, you will have your Word document to fall back on. I did do a backup on my hard drive but for some reason it didn't work. That figures!

Playing with my-bind-it-all machine.....

I was able to purchase the bind-it-all machine for 1/2 off with one of my orders that I placed with TAC the other day. I am having so much fun with it, it is so easy to punch out the holes and they are even. YES I HAD TO DO EVERY HOLE ONE AT A TIME with the Crop-a-dile and not always were the holes in a straight line. I even had to OPEN AND CLOSE THAT C BIND all by hand every one of those little guys. So as you can tell I HAVE BEEN WANTING THIS MACHINE FOR EVER!

So let me tell you I spent the afternoon making this book, and this is what I have to report. I had to cut all of the sheets of paper by hand, YES BY HAND, so now it only took me seconds to bind it but hours cutting the paper. Geesh, I just can't win with this. So I got it all put together and embellished and took the pictures to post and here you have it. (I know that the bind is big but it was the only size that I bought, dummy me I don't know what I was thinking!)

Now this book is going to a friend that is sick and she loves to write things down. Anyway, I'm going to leave it kinda of blank because I know that she will fill it up with her special embellishments. I'm pretty happy with this one too♥

Well that is my story and I'm sticking to it.....LOL LOL I hope that she will like it? Going to see her tomorrow. What you do all think?

A Tri-Shutter-Card

.I went over to Mary's blog KreatersKards sometime ago and she posted some wonderful instructions on how to make a Tri-Shutter Card and her Tutorial is perfect to follow. I really need to take lessons from her she is so good. Anyway, I wanted to try my hand at it and this is what I came up with this card it is so easy to make up, it just makes you wonder why you didn't do it before. So jot on over to her blog and look on the side bar for Tutorial on cards and you will find it. I copied the instructions for future use because I know that I will not remember how to make it again....♥ So what are you waiting for try your hand at it.....

The paper is from K & Co double sided, lots of prima flowers, stamp from my stash. As you can see there isn't anything to it, easy pleasse.

A Tea Bag Holder

I was just blog hopping around this morning and I came across this little book, how cute is this! Please forgive me because I can't even remember which blog I was at when I saw this (going to have to take better notes getting older is the pits). Anyway, she was inspired from SplitCoastStampers-SPS Beate is a SCS team member and she was sharing on how to make these up. Easy instructions to follow and it is really quick to make up. Even for me because I don't have anything in my head most of the time.....LOL LOL Please go and check out this site because they have a huge aray of easy things to make up and they are cute.

I used double sides brown Card stock, I used TAC Angelee #V843 Card stock for the print, Soft pink Card stock with a Martha Stewart punch on the side with 5 pearls running along the side, Stamp set is Flutter By from TAC, with ivory corner ends, brass eyelets and brown ribbon.

I could not help myself and I had to have the Fun Frogs set they are so cute so when I recieved them I had to play....just for your FYI the big stamp measures 4" x 4 1/2" the next on is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" so they are pretty good sizes. I didn't even get to the big one yet how cute is he? That will be the next card to play with.

I started with TAC white card stock #V290, also some green and lavender card stock for borders, TAC Toodle Loo #V 834 set, stamp set fun frogs stamped on white card stock with pink frame, organza ribbon, prima flowers, buttons from TAC that have been discontinued, bumble bee button.

My hubie had some things to do in the morning on Sat. so I did a few things that I wanted to do. Then it was time for us to do the running around town that he and I had to do. Will to much of my surprise he wanted to go to Lowe's to get some things that he wanted, OK that did it I had to get some more shelves to put over my desk. So I said hun I'm going to buy these shelves will you help me put them up, he was not happy about that at all because he knew that he was going to do most of the work and I was going to say up hun it looks so good and your doing such a great job. (that is my job right) Because his plans was not putting up shelves today. I'm so happy to say that they are up and I'm just loving it so much. Here are some pic's for you to see. Now keep in mind that I still have a long ways to go because I'm still giving things away. So here you go

Those wire baskets are going to go I really do not like the look of them so I will put some shelves for my papers to take the place of them. I'm going to put a 4 drawer filing cabinet over by the door in place of that black thing with my punches on it. Under my craft table I'm going to get rid of those plastic files to give me more room under their. This is my craft room right now, what do you think about it? If you have any ideas just let me know ok...

Yes it is truly official that summer is here and it is hot really hot. Good thing that the DGS is here and we just stayed in and played. Of course he had his toys and you guessed it I had mine so I put this card together for a friend. Inside it just says HI from
a special Angel!

Ingredients:
The card stock is from TAC~uptown girls, the stamps is called an'udder birthday from a set by TAC, pruma flowers and brads. I colored the stamp with colored pencils and OMS.

I just love this kit that I got from TAC and it is called Woodrowe Keepsake Album Kit # V-703 * 14.95. Complete with covers for 2 albums and a variety of pockets, envelopes, labels, corners, tabs and journaling boxes, Double-sided and printed on 100-pound premium cardstock.

The hardest part for me was how am I going to put this together? So it has taken me a week so far just to do this much. I really got stuck and was talking to Nora my sponsor and she came to my rescue. she found some links that I could get some ideas from and THANK YOU GIRL. This is what I came up with! What do you all thank? Post some ideas if you have any K because I can us all the help I can get. LOL LOL

I did want to add that this will be a gift so I wanted to leave some room for some of there personal things.
